Safe Haven is an entirely volunteer project operating in the Norwich Nightime

economy between the hours of 21.00 and 04.00 on Saturdays

​

It provide assistance to anyone  in need for a range of reasons be it medical,

emotional or just plain practical such as phone charging, directions or a safe place to wait to be collected.

​

The service has been operational for 10 years and attends calls from clubs, venues, cctv control, police as well as our street patrols in constant radio contact.

Our passionate team of dedicated volunteers demonstrate a caring attitude trying to solve peoples problems in a non judgemental way and in doing so

reduces 999 ambulance calls and demand for attendance at A&E.

It also relieves pressure on Norfolk Constabulary who often work as an intermediary between venues and safety services.

​

Signposting services to clients including substance abuse, domestic violence

and mental health are also available.

​

Our work facilitates the delivery of the aims of public health,personal safety

and crime prevention iniatives.

​

Safe Haven receives no statutory funding and all staff are volunteers.
